Situated above Farmington, Utah, Pretty Valley sits as one of the most beautifully untouched, peaceful hiking/camping sites in the area.
There are no motorized vehicles allowed, which leaves Pretty Valley pristine and raw. Above Pretty Valley, there is a beautiful waterfall, Hell Hole, which is another 30-45 minute hike further up the mountain.

Scouting groups, youth groups, church groups, family groups, and hikers are allowed to pass through the Armstrong land to these sites free of charge, with permission from Brent & Gloria Armstrong. They are happy to share the access (a road they built in the 70’s) to Pretty Valley with those who will treat it gently, and who show respect for their property by asking permission before use.
The hiking route through the Armstrong land is the easiest grade of trail to get to Pretty Valley. There are other ways to get there, which require more skill, as the grade is quite steep in parts.
We hope to help you understand more about the land above South Farmington, so you may gain an appreciation for what is available to you.
